Trex Company Appoints Patricia B. Robinson to Board of Directors

WINCHESTER, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 30, 2000--Trex Company (NYSE:TWP), manufacturer of Trex(R) Easy Care Decking(R), today announced the appointment of Patricia B. Robinson, age 48, to fill a newly created position on the Board of Directors.

Ms. Robinson joins the board with over 20 years of industry experience at Mead Corporation, a $4 billion forest products company, where she held several top management positions. Most recently, Ms. Robinson served as President of Mead School and Office Products, the consumer products division of Mead Corporation. In this capacity, Ms. Robinson led the transformation of the $500 million organization into a growth-oriented, market driven company by developing marketing, operations, and organizational strategies to address current and anticipated customer needs.

Ms. Robinson received her BA degree from Duke University in 1974 and her MBA degree from the University of Virginia in 1977.
