WINCHESTER, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 20, 2014--
Trex Company, Inc. (NYSE:TREX), the world’s largest manufacturer of
wood-alternative decking and railing products, today announced the
appointment of Gerald Volas to its board of directors, to be effective
on March 1, 2014.
Mr. Volas, 59, serves as a Group Executive of Masco Corporation, one of
the world’s leading manufacturers of brand-name products for the home
improvement and new home construction industries. In that capacity, he
is responsible for a number of Masco operating companies, which together
accounted for approximately 50% of Masco’s $7.7 billion in revenues in
2012.
Mr. Volas has been with Masco in positions of increasing responsibility
since 1982. Since 2005, he has served, at one time or another, as a
Group Executive for almost all of Masco’s 21 operating companies. From
April 2001 until February 2005, he was President of Liberty Hardware, a
Masco operating company. Prior to that, he served in a number of
financial roles throughout Masco and its operating companies.
