Trex Seclusions(R) Fencing Selected for 41 Mile Replacement Project

WINCHESTER, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 21, 2007--Trex Company, Inc. (NYSE: TWP) today announced the win of a multi-million dollar contract to provide Trex Seclusions(R) fencing to the Highlands Ranch Metro District of Colorado. This low-maintenance fencing - offering a superior combination of privacy, durability and beauty - will be used to replace the community's existing fencing, which is over two decades old and borders major area roadways.

Trex Seclusions will be part of a long-term Parkway Fence Replacement Program that involves the removal of less attractive and structurally unsound fencing. The Trex product will serve as a new aesthetically-pleasing backdrop to community landscape that borders the two-, four- and six-lane parkways that traverse Highlands Ranch. Trex will provide both five- and six-foot high fencing.

The Highlands Ranch Metro District chose to award the Parkway Fence Replacement Program contract to Trex after evaluating several different types of fencing materials - including wood (cedar), polyethylene, PVC, concrete, masonry and Trex. Having reviewed and rated the options in terms of appearance, life span, structural integrity and cost, the Metro District Board determined that Trex Seclusions was the best product for the community's needs, based on the project's application and allocated budget. The installation of Trex product will provide Highlands Ranch with an estimated 65 percent maintenance savings.
