Trex(R) Tops Peninsula Publishing's 2010 Brand Preference Survey

WINCHESTER, Va., Jan 19, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- TrexCompany, the leading manufacturer of wood alternative decking and railing, recently earned a first-place ranking in Peninsula Publishing's2010 Brand Preference Survey. Trex was honored as the most recognized brand name in the "Decking" category.

Peninsula Publishing distributes a wide variety of business management magazines to professional homebuilders in the Western and Sunbelt regions of the United States - including 50 Plus Builder, American Infrastructure, Builder and Developer, Green HomebuilderOptions and Residential Contractor.

The annual Brand Preference Survey highlights the most preferred products of homebuilders, purchasing agents, architects, interior designers and residential contractors with major buying responsibilities. Peninsula Publishing solicited feedback from professionals in a yearlong reader poll conducted through its print titles, websites and LinkedIn and Facebook pages. Manufacturers were ranked in 52 different categories, ranging from appliances and flooring to lighting and paint.

In the Builder study,Trex captured the first-place spot in three categories within the Decking: Composite/PVC division - "Brand Familiarity," "Brand Used in the Past Two Years" and "Brand Used Most" - andswept the Decking: Composite and Vinyl category with top marks for "Brand Familiarity," "Brand Use" and "Quality" in the Remodeling survey.
