Trex Company Introduces Trex Trim(TM) Cellular PVC Trim

New Product Line Opens Promising New Market to Trex

WINCHESTER, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 26, 2007--Trex Company, Inc. (NYSE: TWP) is introducing Trex Trim(TM), the Company's latest innovation in low maintenance, wood replacement products designed for easy living. Developed with proprietary cellular PVC technology, Trex Trim provides builders, remodelers and homeowners a durable, easy-to-work-with, paintable, routable, bendable option for window/door surrounds, deck trim, soffitt, fascia and other trim applications traditionally fabricated from wood.

Chief Executive Officer Andrew U. Ferrari commented, "This expansion is a milestone for Trex. Not only does Trex Trim open a new $2-$3 billion market to the Company, it expands our technology base by adding another high-growth wood replacement material to our commercial portfolio. Our vision is to build the preeminent brand in innovative, easy-care building materials. Trex Trim is another step in that direction."

Trim maintenance is a significant cost of home ownership. A typical homeowner will spend thousands of dollars scraping, repairing, replacing and painting traditional wood trim every several years. Trex Trim eliminates the majority of that cost, providing a significant financial benefit to homeowners through a lower life cycle cost than wood. Additionally, Trex Trim does not require painting and is exceptionally uniform in color, density and dimensions. These attributes enhance a home's value and appearance through crisp lines, clean routed edges and low color fade over decades in use. As more consumers place a premium on their leisure time and are looking for options that require minimal maintenance while offering great looks, Trex Trim delivers on these needs.

Trex Trim is offered in traditional white. The product can be heat formed to create curved or radius trim requirements, and is available in smooth board, wood-grained board, cornerboard and sheet dimensions. Trex Trim is backed by Trex's 25-year limited warranty.

Trex Trim joins the Trex family of decking, railing and fencing products designed as best-in-class within their respective categories. Trex's current range of durable, high-aesthetic products include: Trex Brasilia(R), Trex Accents(R), Trex Contours(R) and Trex Escapes(TM) decking; Trex Traditional Series, Trex Designer Series (R) and Trex Artisan Series(R) railing; and Trex Seclusions(R) privacy fencing.

Trex Trim was developed in partnership with Palram Industries, one of the world leaders in cellular PVC formulation and extrusion technology with over 40 years of expertise and multiple operations around the world.
