Trex Company Announces Licensing Partnership with CurveIt, LLC
Trex(R) CustomCurve(TM) Allows Contractors to Bend Decking and Railing with Ease

WINCHESTER, Va., Dec 15, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Trex Company, the nation's largest manufacturer of wood-alternative decking and railing products, announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Colorado-based CurveIt, LLC, to develop and market a solution for heating and bending Trex(R) products on the job site.

The innovative Trex CustomCurve(TM) Heating and Bending Solution offers Trex's professional partners yet another way to stay ahead of the curve - making it easier to create remarkable customized outdoor living spaces.

"Through this partnership, we're providing decking contractors with the most accessible and economical bending solution on the marketplace," said Ron Kaplan, chairman, president and CEO of Trex. "Homeowners are requesting outdoor living spaces in a variety of shapes, sizes and levels, and CustomCurve gives professionals an effective way to meet demand. Not only does it allow contractors to showcase their creativity and distinguish their work from competitors, but it also leads to increased customer satisfaction and incremental referrals that positively impact profits."

As the first on-site board-bending system made exclusively for contractors, Trex CustomCurve features a straightforward process and operates at a fraction of the time and cost of existing bending methods. It's ready to bend Trex decking, railing and trim products in an hour or less, and consistently heats the materials from end to end - minimizing costs and unusable materials. The unit comfortably achieves a 10-foot radius and accommodates eight-foot board lengths.

CustomCurve bends all varieties of Trex products, and features adjustable legs to simplify on-site leveling. The lightweight unit can be transported easily between jobsites and no specialized crew is required for operation.

"We anticipate that our innovative system coupled with the power of the Trex brand will result in the strategic success of Trex CustomCurve in the marketplace," said Shawn Vernon, president of CurveIt. "We're excited to partner with a known industry leader to introduce an effective and efficient heating and bending solution to the professional channel."
